Earlier in the year, Bullet was approached by a theatre company with an exciting project; to secure a slot at a major London theatre for their production of a new musical - The 43 Club. We were delighted to help and proceeded to create a video to be used in a crowd-funding campaign to raise necessary funds for the production. We staged a set and filmed the authors and one of the main actors explaining their cause and telling the story behind the 43 Club and Kate Meyrick - London’s notorious nightclub owner who shone a torch for female independence in the 1920s. We produced a full five-minute film for the campaign, as well as a 60-second promo version to use in social media.
After successfully achieving the desired level of funding through the crowd-funding campaign to perform at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Other Palace Theatre London, we were asked back to film throughout their Development Week in July. We headed up to London to get some behind the scenes footage of the rehearsals, from the Monday when the crew got together, to the Friday when the musical was performed to a live audience. We released each film the day after it was shot in order to provide content in the run up to the event to build interest and excitement, capturing soundbites from the audience and those involved in the production.
We are delighted to learn that the musical was a great success and has now been granted a two-week run at a theatre in the the West End, which we can’t wait to go and see!
