This project involved creating an abstract trailer for a cabaret show in Abu Dhabi, which was not yet live, but intended to gather interest before the show launched. We therefore had nothing of the physical show to film, so decided to hint at the type of acts through the eyes of a ‘Queen’ watching the show. Using sound, lighting and the actor’s facial expressions and reactions, the film indicates the emotions that are likely to be experienced as an audience member.
We used two lighting set ups in a studio and created a 1 minute arts film; the term ‘abstract’ can certainly describe it!
